For immediate release (Madison, Indiana) - Tawana Thomas, Executive Director of Visit Madison, Inc. has announced the hiring of Sarah Prasil as the new Marketing & Advertising Director for the tourism organization. “I am thrilled about the addition of Sarah to our Visit Madison, Inc. staff. Her marketing expertise is going to be extremely valuable to this organization and the Madison region in general.” “There were a number of highly qualified applicants but none had the wide range of marketing, advertising, and social media experience, talent and enthusiasm that Sarah brings to this organization,” stated Ms. Thomas. Sarah was formally introduced to the Jefferson County Board of Tourism and the Visit Madison, Inc. Board of Directors at their respective monthly board meeting on Monday, January 23, 2017.
Mrs. Prasil studied Marketing, Advertising and Business at Northern Kentucky University and earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing. Upon graduation Sarah proceeded to work in a fast-paced environment where she spent ten years as a Director of Marketing, Advertising and Social Media for Remke Markets, Inc. in Northern Kentucky. She was nominated for over 15 marketing and advertising awards for a national marketing program and was awarded 5. She was honored in Strathmore's Who's Who in 2015 for demonstrating leadership, and achievement in her industry and profession. “Her twenty year tenure with the same company certainly proved her dedication and loyalty to the community and organization she represented,” added Thomas.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her new husband and son and family; playing volleyball, being a life and fashion coach, shopping, woodworking, traveling and enjoying the outdoors. Excited about the new opportunity, she is ready to delve into the City of Madison's rich history, learn, create awareness, and promote what our beautiful city and Jefferson County has to offer.
