The Beta Omega chapter of Tri Kappa, Inc. in Madison, Indiana, is currently accepting applications
for our charity and culture grant funds. The mission of Tri Kappa, Inc. is to promote Charity,
Culture and Education. In 2021, we have approximately $1,000 to distribute in our local
community.
Charity and Culture Fund Award Amounts:
Jefferson County, Indiana-based organizations can apply. We are open to funding multi-year
projects requesting larger amounts if the time span or amount needed of the chosen project(s)
warrant the commitment.
Eligibility:
Any organization located in Jefferson County, Indiana, or serves residents of Jefferson County,
Indiana, is eligible. Preference will be given to non-profit organizations. The funds in this cycle are
to be spent before the end of 2021, unless a multi-year award is given.
Goals:
We are looking to fund specific projects or needs related to one of three categories: Charity, Culture,
or Education.
The request should address concrete goals. Some examples of past recipients include: a computer
kiosk at the Jefferson County Public Library, Southwestern French club trip to the Art Institute in
Chicago, conference fees for Big Brothers/Big Sisters staff to attend child safety training, summer
enrichment programming for kids at the Jefferson County Youth Shelter, special needs accessible
swing for Hargan-Matthews Park.
Organizations that receive funds will be asked to attend a Tri Kappa meeting within the next year to
discuss how the project went, or to invite Tri Kappa members to a program at your location where
we can learn more about your mission.
Application Process:
Please send an email briefly addressing each of the points listed below to both contacts at the end of
this letter, as well as a hard copy to the listed address. The email deadline is Sunday, March 21,
2021 by 11:59 p.m. We will contact you by email or phone if we have additional questions.
Award recipients will be notified by Sunday, April 25, 2021.
Funds will be distributed at our Scholarship/Philanthropy Reception tentatively scheduled for
Monday, May 10, at Ivy Tech Community College. If your organization is a recipient of funds this
year, we ask that you send a representative to our ceremony, at which time you will be given the
award.
