MADISON, IND. - Jefferson County United Way held its annual dinner Thursday, September 19th,
at 6pm. at Clifty Inn in Madison, IN. This event kicks-off fundraising efforts for the 2020 campaign to
serve the health, educational and income-related needs of Jefferson County.
“We are so excited about this upcoming year. Our organization will be taking more of a programming

Through this new campaign cycle, JCUW wants to communicate better to the community all of the
wonderful work they are able to contribute through donations from individuals who have chosen to give,
even a small amount, whether that’s through a donation on the website or payroll deduction.
“Jefferson County United Way is a great local organization. We sometimes operate quietly in the shadows,
but we are making a huge impact in the community and we need to do a better job of letting people know
how we help,” said Board Member, Nina Alcorn.
In an effort to better communicate and report back to Jefferson County, JCUW released a video
annual dinner summarizing the 2018 campaign (because 2019 is still wrapping up) successes, as well as the actual dollar amount and return on investment that Jefferson County saw thanks to the Jefferson County
United Way’s 2018 campaign.
“When those thermometers rise, it’s not just the thermometer, it’s also Jefferson County,” said Coffin.
Organizations are encouraged to use the video when encouraging payroll deduction within their
organization and community members are encouraged to share the video through social media. To find out
