Jefferson County Public Library Will Reopen April 6
In the interest of public health and recommendations by public health officials, the Jefferson County Public Library will be closed to the public at 5:00 pm Monday, March 16. We are closing to protect the health of our staff, our community, and our patrons, for which we care deeply. Closing will offer greater benefit to the social distancing effort to limit the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus. Presently, we plan to reopen with normal hours and services on Monday, April 6, but we will continue to assess the situation to determine if a longer closure is warranted.
During this time, we will utilize our social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to keep you updated and provide entertaining, informational and educational links. Please visit our website http://www.mjcpl.org/ to explore books, movies, television shows, research tools, and more to download and stream.
All due dates for library materials have been set to April 28, including hotspots, games, magazines, and movies. No fines will be charged during this time. Patron accounts expiration dates have been extended to May 31. Library email email@example.com and voicemail 812-265-2744 will be monitored. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
We look forward to seeing you again when we reopen. It is our hope that everyone stays safe and healthy.
