Ivy Tech Madison Hosts Annual Job Fair
Ivy Tech Community College’s Madison Campus will be hosting its annual Jefferson County Job Fair on April 18 in partnership with the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce, WorkOne and the local Jobs for America’s Graduates program (JAG). The event is free and open to the whole community. The job fair is predicted to attract roughly 150 students and community leaders with 50 different employers in attendance.
All who attend are encouraged to bring the latest updated version of their resume and should come interview ready. The event includes a traditional employer job fair but will also offer three opportunities for employers to attend a “reverse job fair” in which employers visit the tables of eligible candidates and discuss opportunities.
Nina Alcorn, student support and Career Development professional at Ivy Tech Community College states, “It is our pleasure to serve our community by connecting students, job seekers, and employers. This work goes to the heart of who we are as an institution because when someone has a good-paying job our entire community reaps the benefits.”
Event times are as follows. All activities are on Ivy Tech’s Madison Campus (590 Ivy Tech Drive, Madison):
    • 10-11 a.m. - Student job fair
    • 11 a.m.-noon - Lunch & learn with Stacey Totten
