Ivy Tech Community College to Host Virtual Job Fairs
MADISON, Ind. – Ivy Tech Community College’s Madison campus will be hosting a series of virtual job fair events over the next four months. The virtual events replace previously scheduled location-based events that had reformatted due to shelter-at-home orders.
"Instead of canceling the event all together, we felt there was a need to do something to support both employers who had to hire and those who had to have a job during these difficult times.” stated Nina Alcorn, Ivy Tech Madison’s Career Coach. “Our plan is to hold these virtual fairs through July and a face-to-face fair in the Fall when it's safe and more employers are hiring."
The job fairs will begin on April 23rd from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with subsequent dates on May 7th, May 21st, June 4th, June 18th, and July 2nd. Each event will feature 3-4 local employers. Job seekers are encouraged to have a copy of their resume to share digitally and come prepared to network with employers.
Job seekers should RSVP to Nina Alcorn, firstname.lastname@example.org
and the zoom link for the event will be shared. Employers should reach out to Nina Alcorn if they are interested in participating.
