Canaan Community Academy “Fall” for Arts and Crafts

Canaan Community Academy (CCA) Festival Fun! CCA is hosting a festival September 13th and 14th. Looking for fun things in the area to start the fall season? Kick things off with an incredible shopping experience at Canaan Community Academy’s  annual “Fall” for Arts and Crafts Festival. This festival offers something for everyone.

Friday, September 13th the fun begins at 5:00 PM with the "Touch A Truck" event. Stan Stan the Safety Man will be there, plus vehicles for kids to explore. Inflatables and concessions open Friday evening. Unlimited jumping fun with a wristband. Save $$$, purchase wristbands early, call 812-839-0003. Wristbands will also be available for purchase Friday and Saturday.  Affordable concessions will be available both days too.

Saturday, September 14th stop by for a unique shopping experience. Start with some Fall favorites from gourds, pumpkin spice, and a large assortment of mums, plus fall fashions at the pop up boutique. Vendors will also be demonstrating and talking about their products. Take a moment to appreciate the juried art section. Some of the most talented artists have been hand-selected for this event, ensuring that only high-quality and expert-level artwork will be on display. Attendees will see a wide range of artistic creations, including woodworking, sculpture, jewelry, paintings, photography and more. In addition, the artists attend in order to personally display their work, giving attendees the opportunity to meet them and discuss their creations in person, plus antiques and collectables to reminisce through. With dozens of booths to explore in the comfortable setting of the Canaan Community Academy school, many find themselves exploring  and seeking out the perfect holiday gifts for their loved ones. According to attendee Dianah, the festival features “so many unique and wonderful gift opportunities! Hands down, one of the friendliest festivals I have EVER been to!”

Saturday bring your pie “A” game and enter the Taste of Fall pie contest. This is a contest for amateur bakers of all ages. There are two divisions; Adult (18+) Division and the Youth (17 and under) Division. The entry fee for the adult division is $10.00 and the entry fee for the Youth Division is $5.00. The winners will receive a 50/50 split of the entry fees.

The CCA Festival raises money to fund field trips, activities and more. CCA has two fundraising events a year. CCA students never do door to door sales. The school festival coincides with the Canaan Fall Festival. There's sure to be something fun for everyone in the family.
