As a teacher I received the Governor’s Exemplary Performance Award. I have published an article in Better Teaching, The Teacher Institute. I have coaching experience also; Destination Imagination, Molly Dattilo Run/Walk, Archery (3 years-went to Nationals) and currently a Math Bowl Coach. I have also been the Project Director of “Kids are Authors” with Scholastic, plus a FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) Leader. Presently I am the Math Bowl Coach at CCA. I speak fluent Korean.

I am a mom of four children; Paul 26, Laura 24, Angela 21, and Amber 17. I am also a candle maker with Eagle Lights Candles. I also enjoy DIY projects, gardening and running.

As Special Education Director at Canaan Community Academy, I enjoy being a part of a committee that helps students by creating Individual Education Plans for them. I love being a resource teacher working with students individually and in small groups, helping them with their needs while caring and loving them. It is very gratifying!
