2020 Soup Stew Chili & Brew Festival Update
August 7, 2020 – Madison, IN…The Soup Stew Chili & Brew Festival, normally filled with
delicious food, friendly competition, family activities, and more, joins the other fall festivals
in Madison including, Ribberfest and Chautauqua, as they cancel due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
The Soup Stew Chili & Brew committee has been meeting to monitor the COVID-19 conditions in the area, but due to the rise in cases, the committee has decided it is in the community's best interest to cancel the 2020 festival. The decision proved extremely difficult as the festival holds such a special place in the hearts of committee members, Madison locals, and tourists who visit each year. Even with heavy hearts, the committee is excited to plan a safe and exciting experience for October 9th , 2021, as we celebrate our 19th festival.
At this time, the committee is exploring the idea of a virtual event for the fall of 2020, so attendees can still share the excitement of Soup Stew Chili & Brew from home! If you would like to send feedback and suggestions for a virtual event please do so HERE
