    Marketing and Development – Job Description

    Full-Time Position
    Reports To: Executive Director

    Habitat for Humanity of Jefferson County, IN (HFHJCI) is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and highly
    organized person to be an integral member of our team! The Marketing & Development Director is
    responsible for planning, collaborating and/or managing, and executing all aspects of fundraising,
    programs as well as volunteer and donor relations. The Marketing Development Director has a strategic
    role in driving fundraising and effectively communicating the mission and needs of HFHJCI to the
    community. This person will also be responsible for administrative duties and office management.

    Marketing & Development
    o Marketing: design and preparation of all marketing efforts for HFHJCI programs and
    events, including:
             Collaborate with HFHI regarding branding/messaging and oversee local branding
    of materials communications, and outreach to internal and external
    communities, including donors, volunteers, and sponsors.
             Build long-term media relationships as well as develop and maintain media
    contacts to ensure positive and strong presence in the community.
             Develop digital outreach program through social media messaging, Facebook,
    Instagram, video content, quarterly newsletter etc.
             Develops and uploads social media posts /week
             Oversee designs and lay out advertising, working with deadlines and
    advertisement specifications, as well as gaining appropriate partner approvals.
             Develop toolkit to support fundraising; includes but not limited to promotional
    brochures, photos, videos, stories, PowerPoints, etc.

    o Development: program design and fundraising
             Manage and coordinate all fundraising and community events
             Represent Habitat at community events, forming partnerships and creating
             Research grant funding opportunities to support annual operating fund and
    capital giving for home building needs.
             Develop and Maintain homeowner education programs with Executive Director
             Develops and maintains relationships with donors including a portfolio of
    middle and major donors.

    Office Manager
    o Volunteer management and software maintenance
    o Performing general office administrative duties and errands.
    o Handling incoming calls and other communications.
    o Maintain records.
    o Greeting and directing clients and visitors as needed.
    o Working closely with the Executive Director, CPA, and ReStore Staff.
             Assist in ReStore when necessary.
             Support Habitat mission, vision and advocacy.
             Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

    Education and Experience
     Minimum 2 years of experience in a non-profit organization with a successful record of raising
    funds, creating successful marketing campaigns and writing grants preferred.
     Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

    Skills, Knowledge, and other Competencies
     Enthusiastic leader who has a passion for working with a diverse and vibrant community.
     Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs with comfort level to learn, maintain and run reports
    from donor database; Experience donor database systems and familiarity with standard
    financial reporting strongly preferred.
     Knowledge of Adobe programs, such as InDesign or online services like Canva preferred.
     Strong and compelling writer with an eye toward messaging and marketing who can create a
    story with both data and anecdotes.
     Confident presenter, event planner and “people person” with ability to engage current and
    prospective donors and build durable relationships between donors and the organization.
     Strong organization and time management skills with solid attention to detail.
     Service-oriented with a positive attitude, team player and the flexibility to adapt to changing
