  • Staff Spotlight: Lindsay Bloos

The fearless leader of the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce, Lindsay Bloos, has been with the Chamber of Commerce for four years! She started as the Administrative Assistant in early 2013 and quickly moved her way up to Finance & Marketing Manager before being named Executive Director in January 2016. Lindsay completed Hoosier Chamber Academy in 2016. She is pursuing the completion of the Institute for Organization management program and her Certified Chamber Professional designation. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Franklin College and is working toward her Masters in Leadership Development with a concentration in Non-Profit Management from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.

"Through the Chamber, I've learned the value of building professional relationships and of a positive and supportive work environment. There are so many benefits and resources available through the Chamber, but what I love most is the work the Chamber does to help build and strengthen the quality of life in Jefferson County."

Prior to her time at the Chamber, Lindsay spent four years working with children struggling with behavioral and psychological challenges, which taught her to be patient and understanding. For the next four years, she worked in banking and bookkeeping, which taught her skills in customer service, organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

In her leisure time, Lindsay can be found enjoying the company of her husband, Casey, their cats (Zappa & Crosby), or her eight nieces and nephews. Lindsay also enjoys singing and being crafty - scrapbooking, card-making, crocheting, and photography. She is also involved with Madison Young Professionals, the Board of Directors for Visit Madison, the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Olean.

Lindsay wants to thank Ben Foley, Marta Belt, Larry Truax, and the entire Chamber Board of Directors for their guidance as mentors during her time at the Chamber. She credits their professionalism and insight as crucial to her success.
