Born and raised in Madison, Katie is happy to be spending her summer in the town she loves working as a marketing intern for the Chamber. She studies Communication and Sociology at DePauw University and plans to pursue a career in marketing after graduation.

At DePauw, Katie serves as the General Manager of D3TV, DePauw’s student-run television station, and as Vice President of PR and Marketing for her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega. She was also recently appointed President of Lambda Pi Eta, a Communications Honor Society. In 2014, Katie was selected as the Jefferson County Lilly Endowment Community Scholar. During her leisure time, Katie enjoys eating ice cream and taking fitness classes…because it is all about balance.

When she is not at DePauw, she loves to be home in Madison. She has interned throughout the community at City Hall, United Way, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Katie’s goal as our summer intern is to help build our social media presence and continuously improve and update marketing materials. She is excited for the opportunity to give back to the community.
