We are excited to announce that this month's Work it Wednesday will be hosted by Executive Director of Indiana Recycling Coalition, Carey Hamilton. Carey has served in this position since September 2008 and under her leadership the IRC has won two national awards recognizing them as a leader among state recycling organizations.

Carey was elected a State Representative on November 8, 2016 to represent Indiana House District 87. She has worked in the environmental field for more than 20 years, during which she has managed various policy development initiatives and public outreach programs.

Carey co-led environmental programs for the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee. She is a member of Keep America Beautiful, the National Recycling Coalition, and the IUPUI Sustainability Advisory Council. Carey was also named one of Forty Under 40 up-and-coming leaders in 2010 by the Indianapolis Business Journal.
