The Venture Out Business Center
(VOBC), also known as Southeastern Indiana's Small Business Incubator, was built in 1996 to help small businesses move toward success. The 40,000-square-foot VOBC facility was originally a project of the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, but the center now operates on its own.
VOBC’s mission is to provide new and existing small businesses the management assistance, cost-effective space, and a synergistic environment to grow. They are partnered with Indiana’s Small Business Development Center to offer business advisory to start-ups. VOBC is a shared space between multiple small businesses. It includes offices, industrial space, conference rooms, the largest USDA certified incubator kitchen in the state, and a shipping/warehouse area.
The Center currently houses a variety of businesses, such as the Board of Realtors
, Mother’s Grilled Wings
, and Mad City CrossFit
, plus it has space for business seminars, conferences, and social events.
Building Manager, Samantha Pierce, keeps the VOBC running. For the past four years, she has managed building maintenance, marketing for the organization, the small businesses leasing space within the building, and social/business events. Samantha loves her work and being a part of keeping small businesses in Madison.
Though the VOBC is almost to capacity at this current time, they hope that these businesses will continue to grow and succeed and become independent, leaving space for newer businesses to move into the center. The Venture Out Business Center has so many resources for businesses and they hope you will trust them to give you the perfect space to flawlessly operate your business.
Be sure to contact Samantha at 812-273-6510 if you have any questions or concerns.
