Ambassador Spotlight: Doug Ungru
Doug Ungru is one of the newer Chamber Ambassadors, joining the team this year.
He moved to Madison with his family when he was 4 years old and his father bought Koehler Tire. Now working for his father at Koehler Welding Supply, Doug serves as an Account Manager. Doug graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor's degree in Sport Administration, with a minor in Marketing. He believes his career path taught him the value of hard work and what it takes to excel/move up in business and in life.
Doug has been married to his wife, Leah, for 3 years. Together, they enjoy working on our house, traveling, playing basketball, going to concerts/sporting events, running, biking, and actively spending time outside. Doug also serves with 'Friends of Shawe and Pope John Schools' and is looking to get more involved in the community.
If someone gave Doug $10,000 (and he couldn't give it to his friends or family) he would want to take a large group of under privileged kids to their first major league baseball game. He would make sure they had seats that were close to the field and feed them great ballpark food.
